Revised NPPF Published

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has published the revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). This is the first revision of the NPPF since 2012 and implements around 85 previously announced reforms.
The revised NPPF is described as ‘a vital tool in ensuring that we get planning for the right homes built in the right places of the right quality at the same time as protecting our environment’.
The revised document includes a range of amendments which, amongst other issues, look to tighten definitions on the presumption in favour of sustainable development, with the major changes focussing predominantly on housing.
